This is a hands on introduction to recording with Pro Tools.  We will take you step by step through the process of configuring your computer for Pro Tools, setting up a session and completing the recording process with easy to understand instructions every step of the way.  Although this is an introduction to Pro Tools, you will be performing the same complex tasks as seasoned audio engineers with the guidance of our "working engineer" instructors.  This course is perfect for bands and songwriters who want to have the ability to produce professional sounding recordings without the expense of hiring a professional engineer in a costly studio.

This course is geared toward the high school age student with a background in music and a high degree of computer skills.  Most of these students have at least basic skills working with some kind of recording software, possibly Pro Tools.  The course is designed to give the student a systematic approach to Pro Tools with an emphasis on moving up to the next levels of expertise as an audio engineer.  Starting with setting up a recording session like the professional engineers do it, all the way down to the mixing and mastering phases of the process, we give young musicians a firm foundation to build on.
